Main goal

Tarkett is very ambitious in achieving a closed-loop lifecycle for their flooring products. They had already made significant progress with their Desso carpet products, but a substantial portion of their linoleum and PVC flooring products is also now recycled or recyclable. While the industry talks a lot about sustainability plans, Tarkett has been turning words into action for over a decade. At the Bau trade fair in Munich, they wanted to make this their focal point, ensuring clarity for everyone.

Concept

Chiaradia Exhibitions has developed a concept for Tarkett that makes the closed-loop process visible through the infinity (cradle-to-cradle) banner above their booth. At the entrance of the booth, visitors have two options: "Start" or "Restart," and they can immediately see how the recycling of Tarkett flooring products works in practice.

Result

We, Chiaradia Exhibitions, are also ambitious in this regard. Sustainability is a conscious consideration in all our projects. The use of aluminum wall frames, LED lighting, and certified sustainably sourced wood is already standard practice for us. For this project, we took it a step further: Banners, chairs, and stools were made from recycled PET bottles. After the fair and dismantling of the booth, all flooring materials were sent to Tarkett's recycling centers.
